Intermediate Dog Training (6 Weeks)
Ready to take your dog's training into the real world? Our Intermediate Program is designed for dogs who have completed a Puppy or Beginner class and are ready to build reliability in everyday situations.
Classes are held outdoors at a park in Glenmore, where dogs learn to work around the distractions they are likely to encounter in daily life. People walking by, other dogs, squirrels, ducks, cyclists, children, and all the exciting sights and sounds of a park become valuable training opportunities.
I keep my groups small, with a maximum of 6 dogs, allowing plenty of individual coaching and ensuring every team gets the attention they need.

What We'll Work On
Building ReliabilityStrengthen your dog's foundation by practicing known behaviours with the three D's of training: Distance, Duration, and Distractions.
Spot Training (Stay)Teach your dog to remain in a sit or down position on cue until released, even as distractions increase. This builds patience, self-control, and reliability in everyday situations.
Real-World FocusPractice keeping your dog's attention on you while working in a busy park environment filled with everyday distractions.
Food RefusalHelp your dog learn that food should only be taken with your permission, improving safety and impulse control.
Polite GreetingsTeach your dog to greet people calmly by remaining in a sit instead of jumping up when someone asks to say hello.
This course is all about building confidence, improving communication, and helping your dog become a well-mannered companion you can enjoy taking anywhere.
